Sean McDonald

Sean joined Marsha initially in a part-time capacity to help her grow the consultancy in May 2021, he is an enthusiastic Trust and Foundation Bid Writer, focussing on funding research and writing bids. His programming skills, gained from his 20+ years career as a software engineer, have been particularly useful in the Digital and R&D elements of the business including strong problem solving and research skills gained from constantly evolving modern programming frameworks.  

Throughout his career he has worked with individuals, groups, teams, and organisations in an agile capacity under time pressures.  Such firms included Grass Valley (TV Broadcast), De La Rue (Cash Systems) and Molecular Devices (Life Sciences), developing a range of interesting projects.  He has excellent experience working in cross disciplinary teams and was a team member in Newbury but working remotely with a team based in Rome, Italy before Covid-19 hit. 

In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, going on country walks, his hobbies include working on his vintage motor and trying to fix retro electronics.
