With their wisdom guiding us, we set out to do our bit for the planet. They helped us see exactly where we could make meaningful changes – not just in our office, but in our overall environmental footprint too.
We’re excited to share with you the steps we’ve taken to reduce our carbon footprint and how we’re weaving eco-friendly habits into our everyday life. Going Green on the Go: We’re really walking (and cycling) the walk on our journey to sustainability. It’s amazing to see so many of our team members swapping cars for bicycles or their own two feet, even on those drizzly days! This shift isn’t just about reducing our carbon emissions; it’s also about embracing a healthier, more active lifestyle. We’re finding that getting to work can be both green and great for our wellbeing!
Choosing What’s Right: In our journey towards being more responsible and sustainable, we’ve made a conscious choice to only work with suppliers who share our values. It’s all about teaming up with businesses that care as much as we do about doing good. We believe that by picking products and services from these awesome companies, we’re not just making a difference in our community, but we’re also starting a wave of positive change that reaches even further!
Waste Not, Want Not: Our office recycling game has had a major makeover! Whether it’s paper, plastics, or even old electronics, we’re all about that ‘reduce, reuse, recycle’ life now. It’s our way of making sure our ecological footprint is as small as possible!
Bringing Nature indoors: We’re on a mission to make our workspace a bit livelier and what’s better than adding a touch of green? We’ve brought in some plants to not only give us a slice of nature indoors but also to freshen up the air and boost our well-being. Now, we just need to work on our plant-care skills and remember to keep our leafy friends watered! 😊
Making a Difference, together: We’re about more than just our day-to-day tasks – we’re passionate about supporting those who share our love for the environment. Each year, we’re excited to lend a hand to eco-friendly charities. It’s our way of teaming up to create a greater impact and root for the incredible folks dedicated to safeguarding our planet. In 2022/23, we were thrilled to assist TrailArt in Teignmouth with their business plan. As our chosen charity for the year, TrailArt is an inspiring group led by artists, all volunteering to highlight environmental issues through art made from recycled materials. Their famous annual sculpture trail along Teignmouth seafront is a must-see, brightening up the South Devon coast each summer. Plus, they offer valuable environmental advice to businesses, with handy resources available on their website.
Thinking Green in Every Plan: At MMC, being eco-friendly isn’t just a side note – it’s at the heart of everything we do. We team up with charities to weave sustainability into their business strategies. It’s all about helping our clients blend their awesome missions with earth-friendly actions. This way, we’re not just going green ourselves; we’re also helping the charitable sector become more sustainable and tough enough to weather any storm!
