Charlotte has over 25 years of working in the charitable sector in Devon and the South West. Her career has spanned a range of senior leadership roles for community and health and care charities including Action East Devon where she was CEO; as well as director/co-founder of the social enterprise Women In Business CIC supporting women’s professional development.
This flair for Business development naturally lead to a range of Business Development and Fundraising roles more recently at Exeter Northcott Theatre where she was responsible for developing their range of charitable activities.
Charlotte has been providing independent tailored support and advice for over fifteen years in the areas of impact and evaluation, project development and fundraising. Her client list ranges from small community-based organisations through to medium sized local charities and Regional Cultural organisations with turnovers of over £3 million.
Charlotte has successfully supported a wide range of non-profit organisations across the South West to access funding from public & private sources for work across health & social care, social enterprise/community and the Arts. Charlotte enjoys advising organisations from the early inception of a project idea, through to development and fundraising - drafting proposals, researching potential funders, and transferring project ideas into investible propositions.
Since setting up the South West Impact Hub at South West Forum in 2010, Charlotte has also developed an expertise in a range of impact and evaluation methods, particularly in devising evaluation frameworks and processes for measuring social outcomes. Charlotte brings this expertise to support organisations looking to capture learning and understand the impact of projects and services. She is a particular advocate of outcomes-based impact assessment and evaluation frameworks including the Theory of Change.
Charlotte lives in East Devon and is a Trustee of the local Charity Exeter Community Initiatives.
